Vegas Skies

We again went to the ACERT conference in Las Vegas as a part of SART (Student Association of Radiologic Technologists). Sadly the weather was not as nice as last year, but this time we knew what to expect and came prepared with our "Vegas To-Do List."
Some examples:
-See inside the hotels/casinos we missed before (Venetian, Ceaser's Palace, Paris...)
-Shop the Miracle Mile Shops
-...rainnnn stormmmm....
-Play the tables
-Go to Fremont Street and find the penny slot machines
-Karaoke bar for Shea

Number One (at least on my To-Do list) was to see the Bodies exhibit. I wanted to see it in Salt Lake, but my family thought it was gross. I wanted to see it in Vegas last year, but we ran out of time. So this year...I made sure we got to see it. It was definitely worth the money and thinking about the time involved to put it all together was amazing.

We did a lot of playing, but still enjoyed the conference. We represented BSU well, with a group winning the essay competition and one student getting 2nd in the Student Bowl. There were some interesting lectures and we had fun getting to know some of our textbook authors. To the left is Dr. Stewart Bushong, wearing his favorite penguin hat.

Once the conference was over, we moved from The Orleans off the strip to New York, New York...our favorite hotel from last year. We loved the look of the building, the cobblestone streets inside, the rollercoaster, and of course...the dueling piano bar! It was a little bit of a walk to get places, but we loved calling it home.

I'm surprised we weren't more tired of each other by the end of the trip...our fifth roommate is missing from these pictures but we were pretty much together the whole time. We did a nice Chinese dinner one night where I was able to cross "eat an entire meal with chopsticks" off my bucket list, shopped more than we should have, saw Robin Thicke in concert at the Bellagio, went to the strips newest club Marquee (not that cool...don't go), danced the night away, then napped it off the next afternoon.

Vegas would not be the same experience if it wasn't for these girls. Even after spending almost two years in every class together...we still learned new things about each other.

We weren't able to cross everything off our "Vegas To-Do" List...so it looks like we may just have to go back again.
